Our task was to redesign the shopping experience. We took this opportunity to design screens from product lineup and details to checkout and even chat help. Collaborating with product managers, UX designers, and developers, my role was to design the screen interface and set up patterns that would align to the brand.
Shop Experience
Our research sessions showed that people were more inclined to look through product pages that had larger product hero shots. The ability to look through specific product info and ingredients were essential, but didn’t need to be exposed all at once.
Mobile Shopping
Many of our customers purchased products on their mobile phones and it was important to provide a digestible browsing experience. Understanding the type of info to surface along the way was essential in creating an easy shopping flow.
Account Management
It was important for returning customers to access their orders and keep track of applicable promos. Saving billing and shipping info was helpful for returning customers to continue shopping on our site. Inside the account, expandable card components helped break up key sections of information without having to expose all form fields at once.
Mobile Account
For returning customers, the need to manage billing and shipping info sped up the process when purchasing products especially on the go.
Live Chat Experience
From research, we discovered that there was a need for assistance beyond the FAQs that were provided on the site. Assistance to answer questions through the connection between person to person was one solution we wanted to pursue. This was one iteration of the flow with a customer and his or her need to inquire about a product.
